| Type your query in the text box under the Keywords heading. Your query can be a
word, phrase, question, or other character sets. You can also do a wild card search using a portion of the word
followed by an asterisk (i.e. Co*). The
more specific you are with you keyword(s) entry, the narrower the search
results.

| Using (option) |
| |
The Search tool matches the words in your query to the words in its index. Note the
search function is not case sensitive and ignores words like "a", "and", "the"
etc. along with punctuation. You can
decide if you want the Search to match:
- All words. This option returns results that contain at least one occurrence of every word or quoted phrase you entered.
- Exact phrase. This option returns only those results that contain at least one occurrence of the exact string of words you entered. In an Exact phrase search, you do not need to add quotes. An article headline would be an example of an Exact phrase.
- Any words. This option returns results containing at least one occurrence of at least one of the words or quoted phrases you entered. This is the least specific type of search. When you are having trouble getting results for your query, use the Any words option.
- Boolean. This option returns results based on Boolean logic. The site supports the standard Boolean operators and syntax: And (and, &); Or (or, |); Not (and not, &!); and related precedence operators such as (), "", and so forth.

| You can select a category to target by selecting and/or clearing the check box in front of the category listing. For example, if you want to include judicial forms in your search, you would check the Judicial Forms category. By default, Judicial Forms is unchecked so it will be excluded from content searches. |
