MVP Trends in State Courts
News imageTrends in State Courts - State courts have turned to technology to streamline operations during the economic downturn. In North Carolina, remote video isn't only saving the courts money, it's also making it safer for law enforcement officers to process offenders. NCAOC Technology Services' Anthony Whitmore touts the benefits of the Magistrate Video Project (MVP).

Jackson County magistrate Albert Reagan says of the video technology: "It saves me trips into the magistrate office. It saves the officer time. Where they were waiting half an hour or more [for the magistrate to reach the office location], it has reduced that time to five or ten minutes. It is the greatest tool we have to utilize right now."
